As Seen In

There is no template for you.

No two projects look the same because no two clients are the same. We don't arrive with a signature look and fit you into it. We find out what the space needs to do, for you, for your guests, or for your buyers, and build something that could only ever be yours. Wherever you are in the world, whatever you're building toward, we'll make sure the space is ready when you are.

Our process

01.

The Conversation

We start by understanding what the space needs to do: how you live in it, how your guests will experience it, or how it needs to perform for the market. No questionnaires. No style quizzes. Just an honest conversation that becomes the foundation for everything we build.

02.

The Curation

Every piece is sourced by hand from local markets, artisan makers, and trade suppliers most people can't access independently. We render the finished space before anything is purchased, so you can see exactly what you're getting and approve every detail with confidence.

03.

The Reveal

Your complete design, ready to bring to life. You receive a detailed sourcing guide, purchasing links, and everything needed to implement the vision. Whether you're handling it yourself or want us to manage it on the ground, we make sure nothing is left to guesswork.

About us

The designer behind DWELLO

DWELLO was founded by Anastasia Lewis, a Parsons-trained interior designer with experience spanning hospitality, residential, and investment properties across the United States and Europe. After beginning her career in New York, Anastasia worked alongside leading design studios including Ward + Gray, Mancini Duffy and Ryan Korban Interiors, contributing to projects ranging from luxury residences and large-scale hospitality environments to high-end installations and FF&E procurement. Working across diverse project types and scales provided a comprehensive understanding of the design process, from concept development and space planning to sourcing, specification, procurement, and on-site execution. Those experiences shaped a design philosophy grounded in both creativity and technical rigor. While beautiful spaces capture attention, it is thoughtful planning, functionality, and attention to detail that determine how successfully they serve the people who use them.Today, DWELLO applies a hospitality-informed approach to residential, short-term rental, and boutique commercial projects, creating interiors that feel refined, personal, and built to last. Every project is approached with the belief that great design should not only elevate a space visually, but improve the experience of living, staying or gathering within it.Based in Lisbon and working internationally, Anastasia collaborates with homeowners, developers, and hospitality clients who value considered design, clear communication, and spaces built to stand the test of time.

Designed with intention.
Sourced with purpose.

Good design isn't just about how a space looks. It's about how it performs: for the person living in it, the guests staying in it, or the buyers walking through it. We think about light and how it moves through a room. We think about scale, texture, and the weight of a space when everything is in its right place. We source pieces with character and longevity, because anything built around disposable trends never quite feels like it belongs.
Anastasia brings a trained eye and genuine technical rigor to every project. No two spaces are approached the same way, because no two clients (or their end users) want the same thing. The result is always a space that feels considered, intentional, and completely at ease with itself.

Our Work

The Pre-War Jewel

New York, USA

Small doesn't have to mean compromised. This compact pre-war bedroom had great bones and almost no room to breathe. We rethought the layout entirely, used vertical styling to expand the visual volume, and sourced mid-century pieces that earn their place without crowding it. The result is a room that feels considered and generous despite its footprint.

The Crimson Suite

New York, USA

This bedroom and bathroom were redesigned as a single flowing environment rather than two separate rooms. The brief was bold and we leaned into it fully. Crimson walls, soft transitional textures, and deliberate lighting work together so the drama of the space never tips into restlessness. Striking to walk into. Easy to stay in.

The Heritage Retreat

Lisbon, Portugal

This project was about listening to a building before imposing anything on it. Located in historic Lisbon, the apartment had a character worth honoring. We sourced secondhand finds and sustainable artisan pieces that felt native to the space rather than installed in it. Old soul, thoughtfully restored.

The Sonoma Sanctuary

California, USA

A home that needed to host a dinner party on Saturday and offer a quiet reading corner on Sunday. We worked with the original architecture rather than against it, adding a modern boutique polish to traditional bones. Every choice serves both modes without compromising either one.

The New Jersey Plaid Play

New Jersey, USA

A traditional New Jersey home ready for a bolder point of view. We paired a burl-wood dining table with plaid-upholstered chairs, let a leopard-print sofa anchor the living room, and tied it together with a gallery of botanical prints and warm brass lighting. Maximalist, but never loud.

Sources that we love.

Our Belief

Your interior should be the best environment you've ever walked into.

FAQs

Dwello FAQ
Where are you based and where do you work? +
We are based in Lisbon, Portugal, and work with clients across Europe and the United States. Current project locations include Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, and the US. All services are available remotely with no compromise on quality or creative direction. If your project is somewhere not on this list, get in touch anyway.
Do you work with clients who haven't moved yet? +
Yes, and this is where we do some of our most useful work. Many of our clients approve their full design remotely before they arrive. We handle everything on the ground in Lisbon so that when you walk through the door for the first time, it already feels like home. We work across time zones and communicate entirely in English.
How long does the process take? +
It depends on the scope. For The First Room, you'll receive your full design concept and sourcing list within 7 to 10 business days. For full home projects involving spatial planning or renovation work, timelines vary significantly and are agreed during the proposal stage. Either way we'll always give you a realistic picture upfront rather than a number that sounds good but doesn't hold.
What is included in The First Room? +
Everything needed to transform one room completely. You get a full design concept led by Anastasia personally, a photorealistic render of the finished space for your approval, a hand-sourced purchasing list with direct links, and implementation notes so the final styling feels straightforward. One round of refinements is included.
What if I need a full home? +
That's what The Dwello Sanctuary is for. We move beyond decoration into full spatial planning, architectural documentation, material and finish direction, and complete project management from first sketch to final installation. Get in touch and we'll talk through the scope.
How much of my time will this require? +
Not much. Beyond the initial conversation and a mid-point check-in to review the concept, we handle everything. The sourcing, the coordination, the purchasing list. Your job is to tell us what you want and then approve what we build. We do the rest.
Is there a minimum investment for furnishings? +
It depends on the service. The Stay Audit and Discovery Session are fixed-fee offerings with no furnishing minimum. For The First Room and The Dwello Sanctuary, we source from trade suppliers, artisan makers, and local markets. Most single-room projects involve a furnishing investment from $10,000 upward depending on scope and existing pieces. We will always discuss what is realistic for your space before anything is committed.
Can you work with existing pieces? +
Always. A home should feel like an evolution of who you are, not a showroom reset. We're experienced at working around existing furniture, art, and heirloom pieces and integrating them into the design rather than designing around them as an afterthought.
Do you only work on residential projects? +
No. Our roots are in residential design but our background is hospitality, and that shapes everything we do. We work with private homeowners, short-term rental owners, property developers, and investors. If you have a property that needs to perform as well as it looks, that is exactly the kind of project we are built for.
